Spicy Party Pretzels

In October, my cousin threw a birthday party for her little boy, and at the party she had out these yummy, spicy pretzels to nosh on. I couldn't stop eating them, and my mom really liked them too. We hatched a plan to make batches of them to give to our co-workers for Christmas, because the recipe is crazy easy and makes a ton at once. We put handfuls of the pretzels into pretty holiday containers from Dollar Tree, and voila...cute, tasty gifts! They were a hit! I can't tell you how many giftees sent texts asking for the recipe. And I may or may not have whipped up another batch for myself today.

Spicy Party Pretzels

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp lemon pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 ranch mix packet
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 bag pretzels or other snacks (oyster crackers are GREAT!)

Directions

Combine liquid and dry ingredients. Place pretzels in a bowl and pour mixture over them. Stir. Pour pretzels into Ziploc bag and turn every couple minutes for about two hours. Serve and enjoy!

  1. These sound delicious! When you have both the crackers and pretzels together, do you make two full recipes or one recipe using 1/2 bag of crackers and 1/2 bag of pretzels? Thanks!

  2. I usually will do a batch of about 3/4 pretzels and 1/4 oyster crackers. Put them in the Ziploc bag together and let the magic happen! The bags of oyster crackers at the grocery stores I go to are pretty small, so 1 bag of oyster crackers probably would get overwhelmed when mixed with the other ingredients alone. I hope this makes sense!
